Staff and Students who Completed Finn's Mission

We are proud of the Jackpot Combined School for participating in Finn’s Mission for the American Heart Association from February 18th to March 14th. This was the first time the school participated. The event was to raise money for the AHA and have a chance to be put in a drawing for a $10,000 make over of the school’s gym if everyone who registered completed Finn’s Mission. All students, faculty and staff were invited to register and complete Finn’s Mission.

The school’s goal was to try and raise $1500 for the American Heart Association and the Elementary & High School did just that! The elementary students, faculty & staff raised $1663.24 for the AHA. The High School students, faculty & staff raised $552.13. The elementary school had 31 students register online & 12 of those students completed Finn’s Mission.  The high school students had 17 register online & 7 completed Finn’s Mission.

The students that registered received instant thank you gifts such as wristbands, plastic duck key rings & stress squishy hearts. When a student or staff member completed Finn’s Mission they received a Lifesaver’s cape to wear. Those who have earned certain amounts of money will receive post gifts that will be coming soon from the AHA and will be distributed sometime after spring break.

The top fundraisers were: Josie-Kindergarten, Leo-1st grade,Owen-5th grade & Rosie-8th grade.  There were many other students & staff that received donations and will receive post gifts. Besides receiving the post gifts the top fundraisers will receive Blue Bunnies from the school. Rosie & Josie will receive the large Bunnies and Ruby & Leo will receive the smaller ones.  The 8th grade class brought in the most donations & will get an Ice Cream Party.  Mr. Squatritos 4th grade will get a pizza party for the most student’s registered online. The elementary students also received extra time for recesses.

Thank you again to all of the students, faculty and staff for allowing this event to be a big hit and help the American Heart Association.
